The students of the Youth Studio have been growing together for two years. They have got to know each other, become friends, faced their fears in front of each other. Laughed a lot, supported each other, no doubt also worried if they are good enough, brave enough, if they fit. All this has turned them into a close-knit group.
August Kitzberg’s The Werewolf gives us a chance to tackle together the very same questions that young people are constantly dealing with. Perhaps even more heatedly and intensely than grownups. Where is my herd? Who belongs in it and who does not? Who is left out? Where can I belong? Whom do I love? Who loves me? What am I capable of in the name of love?
The production is based on Kitzberg’s text, but the Youth Studio approaches the topics in their own way, with their own ‘herd’ and tries to touch the inexhaustible.
